Jamiat welcomes decision of Rasmgarh fast track court about awarding life imprisonment to 11 accused convicted in in Alimuddin Ansari’s lynching case
Maulana Mahmood Madani General Secretary of Jamiat Ulama-i- Hind has welcomed the decision of Rasmgarh fast track court about awarding life imprisonment to 11 accused convicted in in Alimuddin Ansari’s lynching that took place in Jharkhand’s Ramgarh district last year in June. Maulana Madani also expressed optimism that such kind of decision will serve as the precedent for awarding harsh punishment to other accused of mob lynching in other parts of the country.
Maulana Madani maintained that the state and district administration had shown negative attitude in dealing with cases of violence perpetrated against minority and Dalits in the name of cow-protection that disillusioned the marginalized section. But now this land mark judgment will not only discourage the rising morale of communal forces but also will play role in restoring trust on justice.
Maulana Madani has also drawn the attention of Mr. Raghubar Das, C.M of Jharkhand for giving adequate financial compensation to the family members of deceased and make sure that such kind of unfortunate incident could not take place in future.
