New Delhi August 25: Jamiat Ulama-i-Hind has begun relief work in Kerala which was hit by the worst flood of the century. JUH General Secretary, Maulana Mahmood Madani after consultation, has divided the affected area into six zones including three in Kerala and remaining three in Tamil Nadu and Karnataka. South Kerala Zone is being headed by Maulana Sufyan Qasmi and Maulana Suhail, Central Kerala Zone by Maulana Ibraheem and Afza Seith and North Kerala Zone is being led by Maulana Musaab and Maulana Mujeeb.
In Karnata Maulana Iftekhar Ahmad Qasmi, Mufti Shamsuddin Bajli, Maulana Zainul Abedin Mazahiri, Hafiz Sayed Aasim Abdullah, Tanveer Ahmad Sharrif, Tafhimullah Maaruf and in Korag Karnataka Maulana Fayyaz are monitoring relief operation. In Tamil Nadu, Maulana Khatib Saeed Ahmad, Mufti Abul Hasan Yaacub, Maulana Suhaib, Haaji Hassan, Haji Rizwan and Haaji Raafi is leading the operation. Maulana Hakeemuddin Qasmi, Nazim of Jamiat Ulam-i-Hind will coordinate affairs between Central office and the Central Jamiat Relief Committee for Kerala floods.
Maulana Mahmood Madani has appealed to all charitable persons especially office bearers of Jamiat Ulama-i-Hind units all across the country to come forward to help the flood-affected people.
