New Delhi: December, 15, 2018: A prominent representative organization of Indian Muslims, Jamiat Ulama-i-Hind today held a seminar upon the contribution and achievements of its two prominent founding members like Mualana Sajjad Bihari and Maulana Mohammad Miyan Deobandi. Both these jamiat stalwars were champions of Hindu-Muslim Unity, composite nationalism and opposed to idea of dividing the country in the name of religion.
Maulana Usman Mansurpoori, President of Jamiat Ulama-Hind while delivering his inaugural speech on the occasion lauded the role played by these leaders in the freedom movement and said that that these two leaders had played crucial role in freedom movement and guided the nation and community at the very critical juncture of the history. He said that the idea of composite nationalism must be introduced to counter communal tension between the communities as Islam teaches common boding on human basis.
Maulana Rabey Hasani Nadawi, President of the Muslim Personal law Board in his message to the event said that the new generation of Muslims is unaware of the contributions made by their ancestors, therefore there is need to highlight the shining role played by Muslims in the past so that they could face every situation with courage and tenacity. Maulana Mahmood Madani, General Secretary of Jamiat Ulma-i-Hind while addressing the participants said that a huge number of Muslim children are getting attracted towards irreligiousness. Therefore in such a scenario, there is need to correct their behaviors and instill sense of religion in them. Maulana Arshad Madani, Maulana Anisurrahman, Maulana Khalid Saifullah Rahmani, Maulana Mufti Salman Manssopuri, Maulana Ateequrrahman Bastawi, Professor Akhtarul Wasey, Professor Abu Bakar Abbad were among several others who addressed and presented their papers in the seminar.
