New Delhi, December 27, 2018:- The family members of the youths who have been arrested by the NIA for their alleged involvement in terrorism have been awestruck and deeply anguished by this development.
In view of the situation, Maulana Mahmod Madani, General Secretary of Jamiat has expressed his firm resolve to extend legal assistance to these arrested persons. On Madani's instruction, Jamiat lawyers have been monitoring the case and appeared on behalf of accused in Patia Court Delhi today.
Maulana Mahmood Madani said that most of these arrested persons belong to labor class, they have sought urgent legal assistance from us. Therefore, Jamiat Ulama-i-Hind has decided to provide every legal assistance to them. He told that his organisation has been fighting against menace of terrorism for a long period of time. But on the other hand, it can not accept harassment of innocent persons in the name of terrorism. Jamiat has been waging legal battle for many youths and many of them had been honorably let off by the honorable Courts in the past.
Today in the Patiala court, on the plea of Jamiat lawyers, the relatives of the arrested persons have been allowed to meet them in prison. Besides that due to objection raised by the Jamiat lawyers, the remand period has been reduced from 15 to 12 days. Informs jamiat lawyer Advocate Nurullah.
Meantime a delegation of Jamiat Ulama-i-Hind has visited family members of the arrested persons in Saidpur Imma in Amroha UP. Mr. Sayeed and Raees are from this village. Their parents are very poor. Besides that Jamiat Ulama- i-Hind has also visited family members of the accused persons like Mufti Suhail and Irshad etc in Amroha city. Jamiat delegations consisted of Maulana Hakimuddin Qasmi, Secretary of Jamiat Ulama-i-Hind, Mufti Affan Mansupoori, Mufti Qari Yaameen, general Secretary, jamiatUlama,U.P Maulana Dildar, Master Zakir and master Hidayat etc.
